The Apple Acres wildfire came dangerously close to our home, and thanks to the incredible efforts of our wildland fire crews, we’re still standing.
We truly cannot express how grateful we are for their bravery, quick action, and relentless hard work in intense heat and smoke-filled skies.
To give back in our own small way, we sent them off with some Basecamp snacks for the road - because protecting wild places and the people who defend them are at the heart of our purpose.
The crew chief kindly shared a few photos with us and we’re honored to share them.
Please take a moment to thank the firefighters who put everything on the line to protect our communities. These men and women are heroes in every sense of the word and we are forever thankful.
